Microsoft’s new feature facilitates data sharing between an iPhone and a Windows computer, which is currently available in the beta version of the ‘PhoneLink’ application.
The feature aims to simplify the file sharing experience for iPhone users who also use Windows computers. The above mentioned feature of Microsoft will help the users to deal with the historical challenge.
PhoneLink is a Microsoft application that connects users to their iOS or Android devices with Windows computers. It enables easy access to notifications, call management and now file sharing.
You can use this method for file sharing between iPhone and Windows computer:
- First select the file you want to share
- Press the ‘Share’ icon
- Select ‘Link to Windows’
- Finally select the device to share with
Try this method to send files from computer to iPhone:
- Select the file on the computer that you want to send to the iPhone
- Right click on the file and select ‘Share’
- Finally select the phone to which the file is to be sent.
It should be noted that this feature is not yet accessible and is only available to members of the Windows Insider program. iOS 16 or later is required to use it. The link will also require Windows app version 1.24112.73 or later.
