There have been complaints of WhatsApp being hacked across the country, in which important personalities have also been targeted.
During the last few months, many users in the country have complained about WhatsApp being hacked. In this regard, FIA Cybercrime Circle Karachi has also received complaints from about 50 citizens of WhatsApp hacking.
Apart from citizens, the WhatsApp of important social figures has also been hacked, including former senior judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Wajihuddin Ahmed, former CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy and many other important personalities have also had their WhatsApp hacked in the past few days.
FIA Additional Director Cybercrime Circle Aamir Nawaz said that many complaints have been reported in this regard in Cybercrime Circle Karachi as well.
He said that only the accused involved in financial frauds are doing this and most of the accused are sitting in South Punjab doing financial frauds and asking for money from the citizens. The accused ask for money by sending messages to the people included in the phone contact list and innocent citizens send them money.
The FIA official said that we have recovered the WhatsApp of many citizens and in this regard the Cybercrime Circle Multan has also been contacted and we are working on these complaints.
