According to informed sources, under the Army Act, General Faiz was required not to engage in any political activity for five years from the date of retirement.

After the arrest of General Faiz, a local newspaper had quoted sources as saying that the former DG ISI had been in contact with Imran Khan through “multiple links” after May 9 and even after the arrest of Imran Khan. were in contact.
