National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lieutenant General (Retired) Nazir Ahmed Butt has said that this year his department has recovered $13.57 billion i.e. Rs3800 billion through various operations, which is the largest recovery in a year.
He said that NAB has recovered Rs6.1 trillion directly and indirectly since its establishment and thousands of affected people have been returned their looted money.
Butt further said that Pakistan is facing the challenge of legal immigration and developed countries are offering residence and visas in return for investment and Pakistanis are going abroad carrying hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The chairman of NAB said that it is important to know where this money came from? Because most of them are not even taxpayers here.
