The Indian Cricket Board has accepted the demand of the Pakistan Cricket Board on the issue of the ICC Champions Trophy and the matters have been settled.
The Indian media claims that the Champions Trophy hosted by Pakistan will be on a hybrid model. In the tournament, India will play its matches in Dubai.
Media reports said that Pakistan and India will not play in each other’s country for 3 years.
The Green Shirts will not play ICC events in India until 2027.
The reports added that India and Sri Lanka are the joint hosts of the T20 World Cup 2026 and Pakistan will play its matches at a neutral venue.
In case of India’s consent, the affairs of the Champions Trophy 2025 are likely to be officially decided in the next 24 to 48 hours.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board itself had presented a partnership formula for a lasting solution to the Champions Trophy dispute, according to which both Pakistan and India will not play any event in each other’s country.
The formula stated that India and Pakistan will play their matches in Dubai for the next 3 years.
There has been no response so far from ICC, BCCI and PCB on the Indian media’s claim.
