A ceasefire between warring tribes in all areas of Kurram District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been reached.
According to Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud, after the ceasefire, armed tribes have been removed from the fronts and police and forces have been deployed.
The DC further said that Jirga members will talk to the elders to pave the way and reach a peace agreement.
He added that elders and parliamentarians of Kohat division will come to the district for peace agreement.
It should be noted that 130 people were killed and 186 injured in the attacks on passenger vehicles and the clashes that have been going on for the past several days in Karam district.
The fresh violence spell that continued for the 11th consecutive day has claimed at least 130 lives and injured 186 others. Six more individuals lost their lives in the overnight firing.
The fresh clashes had begun eight days ago with ambushes on two separate convoys under police escort. As a result, 52 deaths occurred on November 21. Since then, clashes between the warring clans escalated, with police struggling to maintain control.
