KP-Punjab border at Attock Khurd completely closed as PTI set to march on Islamabad

In view of the PTI march on Islamabad, the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border has been completely sealed by police, at Attock Khurd.

A heavy contingent has been deployed to enforce the closure.

As a result, traffic on the Punjab-KP road is at a standstill as many passengers are proceeding on foot to their destinations.

Meanwhile, the Motorway M1 has been closed to all kind of traffic from the Peshawar Toll Plaza due to heavy fog.

The Motorway Police said that the motorway will remain closed until visibility gets improve.

Meanwhile, the inspector general of police,Islamabad, has warned of stern action against anyone involved in violation of law and order situation and Section-144 imposed in the capital city.

The top police officer said that public gatherings, protests or rallies remain restricted in the capital under Section 144. He said cases under serious offences will be registered against violators.
