Gold prices have witnessed a significant increase today in Pakistan.
The development came after a rise in the international market. The price of per tola gold jumped by Rs3,600 and reached Rs273,500, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs3,086 and reached at Rs234,482.
The hike in prices of gold has come a day after a spike of Rs2,500 yesterday, when the per tola price had reached Rs269,900.
The latest trend of increase in the local gold prices corresponds with an hike in global gold rates.
In the international market today, the price of gold per ounce reached $2,623, registering an increase of $36 from the previous day. The APGJSA also noted a premium of $20 increased to the international price.
On the other hand, prices of silver are remained unchanged at Rs3,250 per tola.
In recent months, gold prices in the country have reached new heights. The yellow metal hitting an all-time high had reached Rs287,900 per tola in October.
The global market also witnessed a boost on Tuesday, driven by a weakening US dollar and anticipation surrounding coming statements from Federal Reserve officials regarding future interest rate adjustments.
