Hafiz Naeem says govt makes PTI protests successful with its own actions

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the government makes PTI’s protest successful with its actions even before they are staged.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the JI chief said that there is a need for a big dialogue in the country as some issues including peace in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have to be discussed. A Jamaat-e-Islami leader was targetted in Bajaur. Protests are being held in entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa right now, he added.

He further said that the government is responsible for peace and order and we need to review our policy. Isn’t it Afghanistan’s responsibility not to allow its land to be used against Pakistan? The effects of insecurity directly affect our economy, Hafiz Naeem said and added that if we do not sit together on big issues, then the problems will not be solved.

He further said that what benefits reached to masses by a bullish trend at the stock exchange? Has the public been given relief in petrol and electricity bills? The industry is closed, there should be a direct reduction in the electricity tariff, there is talk of taxing the landlords but there is no difference.

One day they say mini budget will come, other day they say it will not come. The government allocated Rs5 billion to buy 1,087 vehicles for government officials, he said.

Nawaz Sharif said that he had decided that he would not become the prime minister if he did not get the majority. If he did not get the votes, why did he become an MNA?.

The Jamaat-e-Islami chief said that the government makes PTI’s protest successful with its actions even before they are staged.
