United Arab Emirates Consul General Bakhit Atiq al-Rumiti has said that Pakistan has the best mango crop as value addition can increase its value and business.
Speaking at the Future Summit in Karachi, the diplomat said that when an investor comes to the UAE, we facilitate him, investors in Pakistan face problems like visa and expenses.
The UAE Consul General further said that Pakistan has the best mango crop and there is a lot of demand for it in Dubai. Value addition can increase its value and business, he added.
Pakistan’s mangoes go to Dubai for 10 dollars and are repackaged there for 120 dollars. There is a need for value addition in Pakistan’s agricultural sector. Every Pakistani asks for mangoes, when we go back to Dubai. Food security’s sector is number one in this region, al-Rumiti said.
The UAE has not gone into politics but into the economy. Whoever Pakistani has to invest in the UAE, he should approach the ministry concerned to get guidance.
