Lahore has once again surpassed the rest of the world in pollution and topped the list of most polluted cities.
Air pollution has taken hold in different areas of Lahore and the capital city of Punjab has once again come to the top among the most polluted cities in the world.
According to the website, the most polluted air was recorded in DHA and its surroundings in Lahore. DHA Phase 8 recorded an Air Quality Index of 1754 while Gulberg recorded an air pollution level of 1258 AQI.
Similarly, 1404 around Askari 10, 529 around Shimla Pahari while 493 on Mall Road were recorded.
At present, the overall air quality index of Lahore city has been recorded as 581. Due to increasing pollution, a large number of patients suffering from eye, nose and throat diseases have been reported in hospitals.
In this situation, health experts have instructed the citizens, especially those suffering from lung, asthma and respiratory disorders, to be careful and have instructed all citizens to use glasses and masks.
