The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday announced Jason Gillespie will coach the Pakistan men’s cricket team on next month’s white-ball tour of Australia.
The announcement was made in by the board in a short statement confirming that Gary Kirsten had submitted his resignation, which was accepted.
The former South African batter was appointed for the role back in April this year on a two-year contract.
He barely lasted six months in the role.
Red-ball team head coach Jason Gillespie or Chief selector Aaqib Javed were favourites to success Kirsten for the upcoming Australia and Zimbabwe tours.
