Ten FC personnel were martyred and three others injured in a terrorist attack on their checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan.
A spokesperson for Interior Ministry said that 1o Frontier Constabulary personnel were martyred and three other injured in a Fitna al-Khawarij attack on the checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan.
He said that the Fitna al-Khawarij taking advantage of darkness launched an attack using heavy weapons on a FC checkpost. As a result, 10 FC men fighting the terrorist martyred while three others injured.
The spokesman said that the FC jawans foiled the attack.
He said that six of the martyred belonged to South Waziristan while four hailed from Karak. The martyred were identified as Naib Sobedar Muhammad Jan, Naik Arif, Lance Naik Saeedur Rehman, Sepoy Akhundzada, Sepoy Hazratullah, Sepoy Mushtaq, Sepoy Abdul Samad, Sepoy Imran, Sepoy Baseer and Sepoy Mehtab.
The three injured FC personnel including Naik Hamza, Sepoy Hassan and Sepoy Sabir Ayub have been shifted to CMH Dera Ismail Khan.
The spokesperson for Interior Ministry paid a rich tribute to the martyred FC men.
He said that the paramilitary force was determined to eradicate menace of terrorism and maintain peace.
