Milk is the best option for getting calcium as it also contains more vitamin D, B12, riboflavin, potassium, phosphorus, selenium and healthy fats.

According to Indian Dr. Arun Kumar, generally cow and buffalo milk is drunk. In terms of calories, 100 grams of cow milk contains 67 calories while buffalo milk contains 117 calories. That is why drinking buffalo milk continuously leads to weight gain.

He said that similarly the amount of fat in cow’s milk is 4.1 and in buffalo’s milk is 6.5 while cow’s milk has more nutrients.

The taste of cow and buffalo milk is almost the same but their colours are slightly different. Cow milk is cream in colour while buffalo milk is white.

He further said that those who consume more vegetables in their diet should drink milk. This is because milk contains lactose. To digest it, we need an enzyme called lactase in our intestines, if this enzyme is not present, various health problems will arise.
