The Pakistan government has written a letter to the US president to pardon the sentence of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.

Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan of Islamabad High Court heard the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s release from the US jail and repatriation, in which Additional Attorney General Manoor Iqbal appeared in the court.

During the hearing, the Additional Attorney General informed the court that the government has written a letter to the US president to pardon the sentence of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.

The Attorney General told the court that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has written a letter to the US President Joe Biden for the pardon of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s sentence.
