A spokesperson for the interim Afghan government has expressed unnecessary concern and reservations on the current political situation in Pakistan.
The spokesperson wrote on X, formerly known as twitter: “Tensions between the Pakistani government and political opponents have reached to dangerous levels. If this trend continues, it may have negative effects on the entire region.”
The Afghan government’s statement is frivolous and out of context. It is tantamount to interfering in the internal affairs of Pakistan.
It would be wise for the Afghan government to prioritize its governance and stability in Afghanistan over meddling in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
The lack of provision of basic rights to the people in Afghanistan, the economic decline and the existing sanctuaries of terrorists are far more dangerous than the domestic political situation in Pakistan.
The Afghan government must focus on countering growing terrorism, extremist safe havens and internal repression in Afghanistan, which are far more harmful for the peace and security of the region.
The Afghan transitional government should focus on addressing the failures of the Afghan government.
Recently, 120 Afghans were arrested in Islamabad for attacking police and disturbing public order.
Before becoming a spokesperson, perhaps he should make sure that their own citizens are not disturbing peace in neighbouring countries.
