Fast bowler Mohammad Abbas achieves major feat

Veteran pacer Mohammad Abbas has achieved a major feat in first-class cricket during the ongoing County Championship.

The 34-year-old removed Kent’s Jack Leaning to claim his 700th wicket in first-class cricket.

Overall, he became only the 14th Pakistani bowler to achieve this milestone.

The right-arm pacer has been a standout performer in the International Test arena as well. He has claimed 90 wickets in 25 Test matches.

He played his last Test for Pakistan was back in 2021 against West Indies. Despite delivering crucial performances in County and domestic cricket since then, he has yet to find his way back into the national team.
