Arshad Nadeem bestowed with national hero’s welcome upon return home

Arshad Nadeem was bestowed with national hero’s welcome upon his return to home after his historic performance at the Paris Olympics 2024.

At Lahore Airport, provincial and federal ministers, the Olympic hero’s family and his fans in large number received Nadeem.

Arshad Nadeem returned home via Turkish Airlines flight TK-174 that departed 27 minutes late from Istanbul and landed at 1:25 at Lahore airport.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority sources said the flight used a routine route and entered Lahore via Balochistan and Karachi. They said the Nadeem’s flight took 5 hours and 23 minutes to reach Lahore from Istanbul.

On the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the flight  was welcomed with a water cannon salute at the Lahore airport.

Prime Minister Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood, Federal Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima and Khawaja Saad Rafique welcomed Nadeem at the airport on behalf of the government.

Speaking to journalists at the airport, Nadeem said that he was grateful to Allah for his achievement. He also thanked the entire nation for the respect and honour it has bestowed on him.

Nadeem said that due to the prayers of his parents and the nation, Allah brought him to this position.

He added that there is a long journey behind this success. I worked hard day and night to get the medal, he added.

To a question, the national hero hailed the government, Sports Board Punjab and others for providing him facilities.
