KARACHI: Doctors have termed the next 24 hours crucial’ for Abdul Rashid Godil, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader who was shot in Bahadurabad area of Karachi on Tuesday.
Abdul Rashid Godil was shot six times in the chest, jaw and neck. The MQM leader underwent surgery and has been placed on a ventilator.
According to Dr Ajnum Rizvi a panel of doctors will shortly decide whether to take Godil off the ventilator. He said oxygen supply has been decreased from the ventilator so he could begin breathing on his own.
Dr Rizvi said, the condition of the MQM leader is still critical and next 24 hours are crucial for him. He said they could not say that the condition of Godil is out of danger.

10. The major concern is that area of right lung damaged by the bullet (which isn’t there). This is the area which may lead to later issues
