Apple has not yet introduced the iPhone 16, but rumours of an iPhone 17 expected in 2025 have started doing the rounds.

According to the latest report, the camera technology in the upcoming phone introduced by Apple could be greatly upgraded, which will benefit from Apple’s already impressive portrait mode.

A new report claims that Apple is planning a camera with a mechanical aperture for at least one device in the iPhone 17 roster. This will be a major feature removal from the lens system used in every iPhone so far.

Using the new mechanical system, users will be able to adjust the size of their iPhone’s aperture, thereby controlling the amount of light that reaches the sensor when taking a photo. This in turn can affect an image’s depth of field – that is, which parts of the image are in focus and which are blurred – which is what helps give portrait mode shots their unique quality.

Earlier, Apple’s new iPhone 16 series is undergoing a major change that has not been seen in the company’s older smartphones.

According to the leaks, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be the first phones in Apple’s history that will be able to charge super fast.

Currently, the battery of the iPhone 15 series charges up to 50 per cent in 30 minutes, but the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will charge up to 50 per cent in just 15 minutes.

iPhone 15 series batteries charge at 27W charging speed and take 2 hours to fully charge. But the iPhone 16 series will support 40W charging speed.

This support will be for wired charger while 20 watt support will be provided for wireless charging. That means these new phones will be able to charge twice as fast as the iPhone 15 series.

This will be a huge update for iPhones as such fast charging support has only been seen in Android phones till now.
