WhatsApp testing new feature to keep users updated on sent photos, videos

The popular messaging application WhatsApp is used by more than two billion people worldwide, now the its administration has provided another great facility to the users.

According to the details, Meta-owned application WhatsApp has the facility of messaging as well as audio and video calls and now another great feature has been added for the users.

Report said that WhatsApp has added a feature that will help users organize events during a group chat, making it easier for them to plan a task or event together, and other apps will not be needed.

A person will be able to use the event feature in any group chat and everyone in the group will be able to see it.

Events will also be placed in each group’s information page, while group users will be notified via a notification when the event date approaches.

WABetaInfo reports that this feature has just been introduced in the Android beta (beta) version of WhatsApp, but it is difficult to say when it will be available to all users.

Events can be accessed by clicking the paperclip icon in a group chat. Group events will be end-to-end encrypted.

Earlier, the world’s most popular messaging app, WhatsApp, has announced that it will stop supporting various mobile devices running older versions of Google and Apple operating systems.

According to reports, the instant messaging app will stop working on 35 smartphone devices from the end of this year.

The affected devices include phones prominent manufacturers such as Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Sony, LG, and Apple.

The decision was announced as the company strives to maintain compatibility with a wide range of smartphones, including Android, iOS, and feature phones running alternative operating systems.

The report said that in order to continue using WhatsApp safely, the users must have a device with Android 5.0 (or later) or an iPhone with iOS 12 (or later).
