MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal has sought an unconditional apology over his remarks against judiciary here Tuesday.

In this regard, the former city mayor has submitted his affidavit with the Supreme Court’s Karachi registry.

I respect all the judges especially the Supreme Court judges, the content of the affidavit says. He added that he cannot even imagine defaming the authority and reputation of judges.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear contempt case against Mustafa Kamal and Faisal Vawda tomorrow.

Last month, the Supreme Court of Pakistan took suo-motu notice of remarks made by Faisal Vawda regarding interference in the judiciary.

A bench led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa took up the matter.

Earlier, in a press conference, Faisal Vawda had responded to Justice Babar Sattar’s recent letter by saying that the trend of ‘targeting institutions’ should end.

The former federal minister had also slammed the judge for making allegations one year after the alleged interference took place.
