Pakistan’s advanced communication satellite, PAKSAT MM1, has succefully been launched from XiChang Satellite Launch Center (XSLC), China today.
The launching of the satellite is a result of the efforts of Pakistani scientists and engineers. The satellite is conceived keeping in view the growing needs of Pakistan in the broad spectrum of communication and connectivity.
The memorable launching was shown live at the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission.
PAKSAT MM1 is Pakistan’s second satellite after iCube-Q that has been launched.
Earlier this month, Pakistan’s historic lunar mission iCube-Q was successfully launched.
The iCube-Q was launched from Wenchang Space launch site in south China’s Hainan Province.
The lunar mission carried two optical cameras to image the lunar surface.
