JI will be first priority for alliance for mayorship: Nasir Hussain

KARACHI: Nasir Hussain Shah, the leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, says that they are in contact with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman of Karachi.He said that Jamaat e Islami will he our first priority for alliance for Karachi mayor office.

These views were expressed by the leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Nasir Hussain Shah, while speaking on Geo News program.

Regarding this, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem said that he will contact both People’s Party and Tehreek-e-Insaf for the mayor, but the first priority will be to make his own mayor on the basis of number.

It should be noted that the Election Commission has released the results of all 235 Union Councils (UCS) of Karachi.

According to the results, PPP is at the top after winning 93 USCs, while Jamaat-e-Islami is at the second position after winning 86 USCs.

Earlier, PTI refused to accept the results of local body elections in Karachi.

PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi, while speaking on local TV show, announced that he will not form an alliance with anyone.

Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that if PTI does not get the lead, then we will unconditionally support Jamaat-e-Islami, we consider PPP as an enemy party of Sindh.

He said that Election Commission of Pakistan is not in support of PTI.
