New York: Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that large-scale military operations were conducted against the banned TTP and other terrorist organizations, but unfortunately, safe havens were provided to TTP across the border.
Addressing the 8th anniversary of the Army Public School tragedy in New York, Bilawal Bhutto said that today’s ceremony commemorates the attack on the Army Public School Peshawar, in which 132 children and 8 teachers and staff members were martyred. The ruling was accepted by the outlawed TTP
He said that TTP has been declared a terrorist organization by the Security Council and other member states, large-scale military operations were conducted against TTP and other terrorist organizations, the operations were successful and the land of Pakistan was freed from terrorists. Cleaned up.
Bilawal Bhutto said that unfortunately the outlawed TTP has found safe havens across the border, determination of the international community is necessary to eliminate TTP and other terrorist organizations.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari called upon the United Nations Security Council to implement its resolutions over the Kashmir issue and fulfil its commitment to peace in the South Asian region, proving that multilateralism can succeed.
Speaking in the Security Council on Reformed Multilateralism, Bilawal said that there was an agenda item left unaddressed — the issue of Kashmir – by UNSC.
The foreign minister said that we believe it a multinational agenda — an agenda of this UNSC — and if you want to see the success of the multilateral institution or multilateralism and the success of this very Council, surely you can aid in this process; allow the implementation of the resolutions of the UNSC, when it comes to the question of Kashmir, prove the multilateralism can succeed, prove that the UNSC can succeed and deliver peace in the region.
The foreign minister said that Islamabad believed that further democratisation of UN, UNSC and General Assembly would empower this institution. It will provide it with the moral authority to act, he added. He added that this would serve the institution to further democratize and to allow the sovereign quality of all and not the superiority of some.
