17 death row prisoners hanged in jails of Punjab, Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: As many as 17 condemned prisoners have been hanged to death in jails of different cities of  Punjab and Baluchistan early this morning  on Tuesday.

Three death row prisoners namely Inayatullah, Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Lateef were executed in Gujranwala.

Muhammad Azam, Nizamuddin and Muhammad Hussain  convicted prisoners were hanged to death in  Faisalabad.

Three prisoners were hanged in Rawalpindi . Those who were executed included Raja Raees, Shakeel and Sarfaraz.

Two  in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail. Both Ghulam Nabi and Allah Rakha were executed on murder charges.

Two prisoners were hanged to death in Sialkot District Jail while  one murderer each was sent to gallows in Sahiwal, Multan, Gujrat and Machh jail of Baluchistan.
