ISLAMABAD: The head of PILDAT Ahmed Bilal Mehboob says that Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan paid Rs38 million for gifts worth Rs105 million received as the Prime Minister and kept them.
In a statement on social media, Ahmad Bilal said that according to the list of Toshakhana gifts in the Election Commission, Imran Khan received 160 gifts.
Ahmad Bilal further wrote that Imran Khan kept 55 gifts for free and 53 gifts by paying Rs37.9 million.
According to head of PILDAT, the total value of the gifts kept by Imran Khan is Rs104.78 million while the amount paid to the government is 27 percent of the estimated value.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that he may be attacked again but despite all fears he will reach Rawalpindi.
Imran Khan speaking in a meeting with journalists at Zaman Park, Lahore, said that why is the long march going to Rawalpindi from Islamabad, the practical strategy will come out soon.
He said that he knows his injuries will not heal quickly but he will lead the long march with the injured leg.
He said that he is convinced that the appointment of the army chief should be based on merit. Political parties have lost public support, so they want to avoid elections.
Regarding the long march, the former prime minister said that he knows his life is in danger and there may be an attack again, but despite all the fears, he will reach Rawalpindi.
He further said that the killers of journalist Arshad Sharif should be brought to justice.
