LONDON: A diplomatic passport has been issued to Pakistan Muslim League-N Quaid and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is in London.
Nawaz Sharif’s family sources have confirmed that the former prime minister has received a diplomatic passport.
On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif also says that he has the diplomatic passport with him for several days.
It may be mentioned here that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met Nawaz Sharif in London today. The meeting was also attended by Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Asif, Malik Ahmed Khan, Sulaiman Shahbaz and Hussain Nawaz. The meeting of the PML-N leaders lasted for approximately six hours.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had his second meeting with Nawaz Sharif in two days in London.
According to sources, the PTI long march, the appointment of a new army chief, including inflation and other issues were discussed in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, and PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif resolved not to come under pressure of PTI, especially on its key demand of early elections.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his brother had met at the Avenfield flats for four hours. Shehbaz Sharif had arrived in London yesterday after concluding his trip to Egypt to attend the COP27 climate conference.
Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Suleman Sharif, Hasan and Hussain Nawaz and rest of the family members attended the meeting. No party member was asked to join the meeting.
Nawaz Sharif had asked Shehbaz Sharif to continue doing his best to take the country out of economic crisis. He also asked PM Shehbaz do not succumb to any pressure.
The Sharifs resolved that the polls would be held on time and Imran Khan’s long march will be dealt with legally.
