ISLAMABAD: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has taken back the application seeking return of passport.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer said that the PML-N leader’s ticket was reserved for tomorrow, it was not possible to decide on the petition so quickly. He said that on the client’s instruction the application had been withdrawn.
Maryam Nawaz had requested to return her passport for performing Umrah and then going to London.
It may be recalled that the bench was dissolved three times on the application of Maryam Nawaz’s passport. The first bench comprising Justice Shahbaz Rizvi apologized for the hearing. The second time Justice Farooq Haider and the third time Justice Asjad Javed Gharal apologized.
The NAB prosecutor had objected to the return of Maryam Nawaz’s passport and said that the case against Maryam Nawaz is pending in the Supreme Court. The NAB attack case against Maryam Nawaz is also pending.
According to the NAB prosecutor, all the accused except Maryam Nawaz have fled abroad. If Maryam also goes abroad, it is feared that she will not return.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz has reacted to the press conference of former prime minister Imran Khan.
In her tweet on Saturday, Maryam Nawaz said that the nation has come to know that the reason for the drama of the US letter is the expected verdict against Arif Naqvi because Imran Khan is also involved in the scandal in which he has been arrested.
He said that Imran Khan had illegally taken millions of dollars from Arif Naqvi.
Maryam Nawaz said that the reason for attacking the Election Commission was irrefutable evidence of illegal funding and the lesson of attack on institutions and siege was also a tactic to increase pressure for early elections.
He warned that listen carefully, your bullying and threats will now lead to your own destruction, your government could not handle, your party could not handle and your game is over forever.
