ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister Asad Umar has claimed that the country’s foreign exchange reserves have decreased by more than $5 billion in just four weeks.
In a message on social media platform Twitter, Asad Umar said that the significant reduction in the country’s foreign exchange reserves took place after the no-confidence motion.

In just four weeks, the country’s foreign exchange reserves have shrunk by more than $5 billion.
He said that about a quarter of Pakistan’s total reserves were lost in just four weeks. The longer this fake government lasts, the deeper the economic crisis will be.
Earlier, former prime minister Imran Khan and Asad Umar have challenged the notice issued by the Election Commission in the Islamabad High Court.
Yesterday, the Election Commission also issued notices to Prime Minister Imran Khan, KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, federal ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Murad Saeed and provincial ministers Mohibullah and Dr Amjad Ali for violating the code of conduct.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Federal Minister Asad Umar have challenged the ECP’s notice in the Islamabad High Court.
Federal Minister Asad Umar reached the Islamabad High Court to challenge the ECP’s notice and filed a petition in which the ECP and the federation have been made parties to the petition through the Cabinet Secretary.
The petition asks whether the Election Commission can remove the amendment in the Election Act from the Code of Conduct. The order of the Election Commission regarding the election campaign is against the law. Legislation has been enacted to allow public office holders to participate in the election campaign.
