MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has resigned from his post.
According to media reports, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has sent his resignation to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and President Azad Kashmir.
According to sources, Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi in a message addressed to Imran Khan said that he had given the prime minister-ship to him and he was returning today.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid had an important meeting with Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi earlier.
Sources said that Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid had conveyed a very important message from the central leadership to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
It may be recalled that a no-confidence motion was filed by PTI against its own Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi a day earlier.
Sources said that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir had also met the party chairman Imran Khan today in which he had complained and said that the no-confidence motion against him was a big conspiracy. What you have been told is not true. I will prove the conspiracy against me.
According to sources, on this occasion, Imran Khan had expressed confidence in Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi and he was prevented from resigning but now it has been reported that he has resigned from his post.
