Pakistan does not believe in any camp politics: Gen Bajwa

ISLAMABAD: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan does not believe in any camp politics as Pakistan wants to move ahead together with all countries.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa while addressing the Security Dialogue Ceremony said that Pakistan believes in ceasefire and dialogue to resolve the Ukraine crisis. Pakistan is demanding a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. Pakistan does not believe in any camp politics. Pakistan wants to work together.

He said that the launch of a missile by India into Pakistan was a matter of great concern. Pakistan has demanded an inquiry into the launch of an Indian missile. Should India tell Pakistan and the world that its nuclear assets are safe?

He said that Pakistan believes in dialogue and diplomacy for the solution of Kashmir issue. Pakistan wants the water dispute with India to be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. Pakistan believes in dialogue, he added.

“We have made great strides against terrorism,” he said. Efforts will continue till the last terrorist is eliminated. Pakistan has joined hands with the international community to help Afghanistan. More needs to be done to help the Afghan people, he added.

He said that the Afghan people should not be forgotten because of the crisis in Ukraine. Instead of imposing sanctions, the positive attitude of Afghanistan should also be kept in mind. The world must stop Afghanistan from becoming a center of terrorism again.

“Security and stability in the region is our policy,” he said. Pakistan is located in an important economic region. Pakistan is committed to solving the problems of the region through partnership.

He said the economy and the security of citizens are important. Prosperity and security of our citizens is our priority. Achieving our goals requires peace inside and outside the country. The region faces challenges such as terrorism, climate change and poverty, he added.
