ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Co- Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari says that we will decide together regarding Punjab, now Pervez Elahi is late.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, former president Asif Ali Zardari said that now the Chief Minister of Punjab will be the one who will be decided by the opposition, the numbers game is only with us.
He said that Pervez Elahi cannot be the Chief Minister of Punjab. We have the numbers. Whoever is nominated by the opposition will be the Chief Minister of Punjab, he said.
Earlier, Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that if the government does not allow the protest, there will be a commotion.
Talking to reporters informally in the Parliament House, Asif Ali Zardari, while answering the questions of the journalists, said that if Allah wills, the no-confidence motion will be 100 per cent successful.
What will you do if the Speaker does not give permission from the National Assembly to move the motion? To the question, Asif Zardari said, “Then we will make a fuss together with you.”
On the question of taking advantage of undemocratic forces, the former president said that the strategy for this is the same.
Meanwhile, Speaker Asad Qaiser has adjourned the session of National Assembly till Monday, March 28, after offering prayers for the departed souls of late members.
In a meeting chaired by Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, prayers were offered for the departed souls of the late members of the assembly, former president Rafiq Tarar, Senator Rehman Malik, those who were martyred in the Peshawar mosque blast and others who died.
Following the prayers by Federal Minister Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, the Speaker National Assembly announced to adjourn the sitting till Monday 28 March.
Asad Qaiser said that it is part of the tradition of the National Assembly that if a member of parliament has passed away, then the sitting of that day is adjourned for one day and I also adjourn for one day while maintaining this tradition.
