Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky has claimed that 14,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in the Ukraine war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that the bodies of 14,000 Russian soldiers killed in the current war are in Ukraine but no one is taking them back.

In a video message, he appealed to the Russian people, asking why they were not feeling the loss of their loved ones.

President Zelensky said the fierce frontline areas are littered with the bodies of Russian soldiers.

The Ukrainian military said a week earlier that 1,300 soldiers had been killed. Moscow says 500 of its troops have been killed.

Yesterday, Turkey had said that Russia and Ukraine are close to a negotiating agreement.

According to foreign media reports, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Sunday that there is a war going on between Russia and Ukraine, civilians are being killed and it is not easy to compromise. However, he acknowledged that both the countries were close to an agreement.

The Turkish Foreign Minister said that Turkey was in touch with the negotiating teams of the two countries but declined to give details of the talks.

He also said that Turkey was ready to host a meeting between Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We are working day and night for peace,” he said.
