MULTAN: Police claimed Sunday to have arrested 16 criminals besides recovering drugs and illegal weapons from their possession.
Police unearthed a distillery and arrested six drug peddlers from various places and recovered 86 litre liquor and 495 grams hashish from them. One illegal weapon holder was arrested with a gun while five gamblers were held with stake money and gambling stuff.
Police also apprehended four proclaimed offenders wanted in different cases of dacoity, robbery, theft and other crimes. Separate cases have been registered against the accused.
