Electricity tariff increased by Rs3.75 per unit for Karachi consumers

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has made electricity expensive for Karachi’s consumers.

Nepra has issued a notification for the increase in the tariff of electricity, according to which electricity tariff for consumers in Karachi has been increased by Rs3.75 per unit.

The notification said that electricity has been made expensive in the head of September fuel charges adjustment, whose charges will be charged in December bills.

Nepra had a hearing in November on a petition filed by K-Electric for September’s fuel adjustment.
