KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has announced collect tax on commercial use of underground water.
According to the KWSB sources, now the people commercially using the underground water and the NRO plants will have to obtain licence from the board.

They said that those using the underground water on commercial basis by installing boring wells will be charged.
Underground water and RO plant operators have to obtain licenses on industrial and commercial level.
The KWSB said that the licences can be obtained from the board by December 31, 2021.
