Schools to remain closed in Karachi today amid heavy rain forecast

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to close educational institutions, marriage halls and restrict business hours for five days due to increasing cases of corona in the province.

According to sources, as per the decision of Sindh government, shopping malls and markets will be opened from 6 am to 6 pm from Monday but groceries, bakeries and pharmacies will be allowed to open.

Wedding halls and other celebrations will be banned from Monday and shrines will also be closed. Fridays and Sundays will be safe days, restaurants will be closed from Monday, both indoor and outdoor, however takeaways will be allowed.

It has also been decided to close educational institutions but the examinations will be held as per their schedule. 50% staff in public and private sectors will be present.

All these decisions will be implemented from Monday.
