ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has ordered the removal of name of Lt. Gen. (retd) Asad Durrani from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The case regarding removal of Asad Durrani’s name from ECL was heard by Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah.
After hearing the arguments of the parties, the IHC Chief Justice ruled in the case.
The court said in its judgment that Asad Durrani has the same rights as ordinary citizens given in the constitution.
Justice Athar Minallah said that after looking at the entire record, there is no inquiry pending against Asad Durrani at present. Like every ordinary citizen, the three star retired general also has rights. There is no reason to keep his name in ECL, he added.
