Ahsan says govt waiting for Covid-19 vaccine to be donated by WHO

Lahore: PML-N General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government was waiting for the coronavirus vaccine to be donated by the World Health Organization (WHO).

In his tweet, Ahsan Iqbal said that the government had Rs5 million to bribe his National Assembly members but did not buy vaccines from China to protect the people which could be obtained at discounted rates.

He said that the countries which cared about the people, they placed orders on time.

Earlier, National Command and Operation Center chief Asad Umar has said that they had received a letter from the Covax of indicative supply of 17 million doses of AstraZeneca during first half of the year.

He announced this on his Twitter account.
