Karachi: PML-N leader Muftah Ismail has demanded the withdrawal of the recent hike in electricity prices, saying that the price of electricity has been increased by Rs1.95.

In his statement, the former finance minister said that Imran Khan had claimed to have reduced the circulation debt to zero, now that the circulation debt has reached the highest level in history. The price of electricity is being increased, he added.

He said that the government should bring reforms and control the losses of power transmission.

Ismail said that failure to procure gas and droping the rubble of one’s incompetence on industries and people is cruelty. The decision not to supply gas to industries should be withdrawn, he demanded.
