Dubai: Over 10,000 Pakistanis are facing difficulties due to non-receipt of national identity cards in the UAE.
According to sources, the contract with the courier company delivering the identity card from Pakistan to the UAE has expired.
The Pakistani embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate in Dubai are not receiving Pakistani identity cards, which has also hampered visa extensions.
The Pakistani embassy said that delivery of identity cards is delayed due to termination of contract with courier company.
