Karachi: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the Benazir Mazdoor Card will be issued to 630,000 workers.
He said that whatever facility will be provided to the workers will be provided through the card, which is like smart identity card will also be the ATM and health card of the worker.
A function was held at North Karachi Association of Industry (NACATI) on the visit of Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani.
In his welcome address, Nakati President Faisal Moeez Khan termed the Labour Department, EOBI and SESSI as the second major problem after the gas problem.
Saeed Ghani said that formulas are being worked out in consultation with the industrial sector to improve management. Providing employment and facilities to the workers is possible only through industrial development.
He said that from next week, Benazir Mazdoor Card will be launched as a pilot project.
Initially, the cards will be issued to 630, 000 workers registered with the SESSI.
