Foreign investment decreased by 80pc: SBP

Karachi: According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the foreign investment in the country has decreased by 80 per cent.

The SBP said that the volume of foreign investment from July to November stood at $390 million and foreign investment in the private sector fell by 40 per cent to $530 million.

According to the SBP, foreign direct investment fell by 17 per cent to $717.1 million, while foreign investment from the stock market fell by $185.5 million in five months.

According to the central bank, $140 million was withdrawn from the public sector
