Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the rallies will not make any difference to the government but the people’s lives will be in danger.

Speaking after the National Co-ordination Committee (NCC) meeting on Coronavirus on Thursday, the prime minister said that coronavirus spreads fast when more people gather, and if there is a gathering, the effects begin to show after a week or 10 days.

He said that after the meeting of the opposition in Multan, the hospital beds were 64 per cent full. He said that the rallies should be held after two to three months so that the lives of the people could be saved.

The prime minister said that it is time for the nation to follow the SOPs with unity. The first SOP is face mask. In the second wave, it has become difficult for the rest of the world to implement SOPs, he added.
