PESHAWAR: The price for a travel card of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has been increased.

According to a spokesperson for Trans Peshawar, the price for a travel card has been increased to Rs250 from Rs100. However, no change has been made in the 100-rupee balance carrying the travel card.

He added that over 450,000 travel cards were distributed free-of-cost among masses at the start of the BRT service but the price for the card was fixed at Rs100.

It is to be mentioned here that the BRT project was started during the PTI’s previous government in the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, but it completed recently after several delays.
