KARACHI: A 15 days comprehensive drive against Dengue and Malaria larvae was launched and almost 150 tyre shops, 35 big parks and dozens of other public places were fumigated during the campaign.
Programme Manager Dengue Control Programme Sindh, Dr Masood Solangi while briefing the Sindh Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said millions of larvae were destroyed during the drive.
He said that another drive against Dengue had been initiated in Karachi in collaboration with KMC and would continue till April 29 and it would cover all the districts.
He also informed that 30 vehicles would participate in the drive and all out efforts would be made to make the drive a success.
The Health Minister directed the programme manager to ensure that every nook and corner of the city to be covered and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
