Affectees term verdict of Baldia factory fire case as ‘incomplete justice’

KARACHI: The affectees of the Baldia Town incident have termed the court verdict in the factory fire case as an incomplete justice.

Speaking to the Daily Jasarat, Ali Enterprises Factory Fire Affectees Association Chairperson Saeeda Khatoon said that it was an act of terrorism. She questioned why the factory owners did not close the factory and contact the authorities when the terrorists demanded extortion from them, leaving the business unit at the mercy of terrorists.

She said that the Ali Enterprises owners Arshad Bhaila and Shahid Bhaila were also accomplice and should be punished.

She said that the factory owners could not be left unaccountable for burning alive 260 people in a fire.

Saeeda Khatoon added why the factory owners did not contact the security agencies when Rs200 million was being demanded as an extortion by the terrorists.

She demanded of the authorities concerned the complete justice and urged that the factory owners should also be awarded punishment.
