Multan: JI demands death penalty for culprits behind Lahore gang-rape

MULTAN: The Jamaat-e-Islami’s women wing on Saturday held a protest rally against the Lahore gang-rape incident.

The protest rally was organised by the women wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, Multan.

The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans.

They demanded death penalty to the accused involved in the gang-rape.

The protesters also urged the government to take solid measures so that such incidents do not happen against in the future.

Earlier in the day, the police said that the prime accused in the Lahore Motorway gang-rape case gas had been identified

Police said that the DNA of the accused identified as Abid Malhi has matched with the DNA samples of the victim woman.

The accused who has a criminal background is still at large.

The police said that the DNA of the accused has found in the 2013 data samples.
