KARACHI: The K-Electric’s computers have been hacked by unknown hackers on Tuesday.

Sources said that the computers of K-Electric’s Information Technology Department have been hacked by unknown hackers.

They said that the hackers have encrypted the data present in the computers. The hackers have demanded a ransom money for returning the data to the power distribution company.

The sources said that the links with the banks as well as K-Electric’s billing system has been affected due to the hacking.

The power company’s anti-hacking software has also affected due to the cyber attack.
